Wheat bids have improved across the country today. East coast prices were $1-2/t stronger, while WA prices are $3/t stronger at Fremantle. Strength has come from a weaker $A and improved US futures prices.
The $A lost 1.64USc today. The $US is strengthening off continued concerns surrounding Chinese lending and a general air of risk adversion.
Canola prices were also firmer, following Winnipeg contracts. Canola was $8/t stronger in VIC and NSW, and $7/t stronger in WA. Canola exports have been strong this year. There are reports of strong oil quality in southern regions, particularly in GM canola.
