Rural financial counsellors are welcoming the extension of exceptional circumstances drought funding in north-west Victoria.
Financial counsellor Lyn Haesman says there plenty of farmers who still need for help and support.
She says that water trading is one option for those that are looking to get some cash flow.
"As our water market matures, and we see more opportunities starting to come to light, that particular asset is becoming quite a tradeable asset."
