The peak farming body in NSW wants better national representation for Australian grain growers.
The NSW Farmers Association is pushing for a national grain grower's body made up of state farming organisations.
Mark Hoskinson, from the association's grains committee, says the industry is lacking a united front on national issues.
"In recent years, NSW and Western Australia haven't been involved with Grains Council of Australia. We had issues with some of the ways it was set up," he says.
"But we can see a need, through deregulation and everything else and the effect it's having on growers, for a national voice for growers, so that's why we're pushing for this."
