Nufarm’s Minder provides another choice for growers in the battle to control broadleaf weeds in cereal crops and pastures. Minder has been developed for early season use to support Paragon® and Paragon/Bromicide® mixtures for the control of wild radish and other broadleaf weeds.

Active ingredients
Minder works best when applied to young, vigorously growing weeds. It combines two active ingredients to offer different modes of action for broadleaf weed control.

• Diflufenican is a bleaching agent that provides best results in warm conditions where the light intensity is high, with the benefit of a residual film that remains on the soil surface for up to a month

• Bromoxynil works as a contact herbicide with limited movement within the plant, and works best under
conditions of high humidity where the light intensity is low. The pairing of these different chemistries provides increased efficacy for weed control under a wide range of climatic conditions.

Minder is fast acting and under ideal conditions, can cause plant death within 3-4 days. Symptoms are evident under most conditions between two days to a week after application. It is safe for both you and the environment when applied as directed, with no lasting residual effects in the soil or groundwater systems.

Application timing
Your crop or pasture will gain maximum benefit through reduced weed competition. The ideal time to apply is from the crop’s 2-3 leaf stage (refer to Fig 1). As size or density of the weeds increases, use the higher application rates as stipulated on the label.
