Canadian police have found a body they believe is missing actor Andrew Koenig.
Koenig, who starred in 1980s television sitcom Growing Pains and is the son of former Star Trek star Walter Koenig, went missing on February 18.
"Vancouver police are investigating the discovery of a body found in Stanley Park around noon today. The body is believed to be that of Andrew Koenig," police said in a statement.
Stanley Park is a large expanse of grass, trees and tourist attractions near the city's downtown.
Further details are expected to be revealed at a news conference set for late afternoon in Vancouver.
Koenig, 41, portrayed Richard "Boner" Stabone on Growing Pains.
Since then he has had mostly small roles on TV and in the movies.
His disappearance caused friends, including actors Alyssa Milano and Kirk Cameron and comedian Sara Silverman, to post comments online or put out statements seeking information on his whereabouts.
Koenig, whose home was in Los Angeles, had been visiting friends in Vancouver.
